Going back to MAC
For the past 11 years I have been a PC user. I switched from MAC in 1998 because at the time a PC offered me more software options. My current Dell computer (my second one) is 7 years old has 1GB of RAM and crawls and stalls. I have Windows XP and my Office software is from 2002. Now I’m going back to MAC, here’s how it happened.
I have been needing a new computer for some time, but the Vista operating system, which I have on a laptop, refused to use much of the software I owned. Buying all new software to run on yet another Microsoft operating system pissed me off. So I waited. Enter Windows 7. Could this be for me? I carefully examined it and learned that I needed Windows 7 Professional (costing more money of course) to run most of my XP software; but there was still no guarantee. Microsoft lets you download an adviser to determine if your software is compatible with Windows 7. Too many “unknowns”. What to do? I had configured my 3rd Dell system and was deciding on a monitor, when I started seeing those MAC commercials. TV commercials usually don’t make me think but this new campaign did. One commercial reminds you about the seven “new and improved” PC operating systems over the years. The MAC can do everything my PC can do. And let’s remember that “Windows” is just a rip off of the MAC operating system. So I took a look at the iMAC
The iMAC is cool. Something came over me. I felt young again. I felt like I should wear a tie-dye t-shirt, bell bottom jeans and bandanna around my head. No virus worries, no security worries. I felt a burden lifted off my shoulders, a sense of freedom. Sounds silly, but I ordered it! My iMAC will arrive sometime this week. I expect it to take a few days to get reacquainted with the system. I’ll let you know how it goes. Until then!
Just don’t show up for lunch in those bell bottoms…
Get Mac never go back
Mac’s the best of the pack.
